Such a fantastic old pub. Lit by candlelight in the evening. The landlady was so welcoming, as was the barmaid.our Pup Rudy was made to feel just as welcome, with a pet and a treat. There is a lovely stream running through the garden. Honestly, this place is really worth a visit. It's like stepping back in time, in a good way. It apparently even has a ghost!
One of the most picturesque pubs in the Cotswolds. The Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic and great value.
The service is informal and extremely friendly. Unlike some pubs, you are not rushed and with all the cozy little corners, all the tables are tucked away so it’s a very private dining experience.
They have a fantastic range of beers which are certainly worth trying. Outside is a very pretty beer garden with lots of seating and a little stream running through the middle.
The pub is dog friendly and a perfect place to stop off any time of the year. It’s well priced and the food is great quality. Really impressed, thank you.
Atmospheric inn with loads of olde world charm and a large outside garden with brook running through part of it.
We've been coming here for about 40 years and feel very comfortable during each visit. Insides are brilliant with odd corners and plenty of space in 3 separate rooms. 2 rooms have open inglenook fireplaces, lit in winter.
Don't miss trying the Mill's famous chicken in a basket with chips. Sample the range of Fullers ales.
Enjoy the quiet country setting.
Highly recommended. *****
We visited again in January - still the same high standard. This time we had Scampi and Chips, followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding, which is very good.
The fire was lit and we enjoyed sitting at the table next to it - very cosy on a cold winter's night.
